Bose Pure Headphone

Modular Simplicity for Everyday Sound

Bose Pure is an exploration of how far simplicity can go in delivering a meaningful product experience. Designed during my internship shortly after graduation, the goal was to create an affordable headphone for students and young users—without sacrificing material quality or emotional value.

The design centers on a stripped-down construction: a stamped metal frame paired with genuine leather, forming a clear and honest structure. By reducing complexity, every element becomes intentional—from the breathable air-mesh headband to the minimal assembly strategy. The result is a lightweight, durable product that feels refined despite its low-cost target.

A key idea behind Bose Pure is modularity. Users can mix and match earcups, colors, and materials to create a headphone that reflects their personal style. This system not only extends product life but also transforms a simple object into something expressive and customizable.

Bose Pure reflects an early belief in my design approach: that a premium experience doesn’t come from complexity, but from clarity—where material, structure, and interaction are reduced to their essence.
