Bose QuietComfort Earbuds
Defining Noise Cancellation in True Wireless
As Bose’s first true wireless in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation and full noise control (including ambient awareness), this project set a new standard for what compact audio products could achieve. The core challenge was integrating a complex system—multiple microphones, sensors, a battery, and acoustic components—into a form factor that remained wearable, balanced, and visually refined.
I played a key role in shaping the product’s architecture and exterior form, developing a sculpted geometry that accommodates the internal complexity while feeling natural against the human face. The curvature and proportions were carefully tuned to reduce visual bulk, improve perceived comfort, and create a more empathetic, human-centered expression.
The result is a bold yet composed design—one that communicates technical performance while maintaining a sense of approachability and precision, establishing a new category benchmark for noise-canceling true wireless earbuds.
