HALO BAND
Rethinking childhood technology through calm interaction
As a parent of young children, I constantly face a simple challenge: giving my kids enough freedom to explore while still keeping them safe.
When my five-year-old started running around the neighborhood, I began looking for a device that could help me stay connected with him. After researching the market, I purchased a Fitbit Ace LTE. While I appreciated its location tracking and communication features, I realized many kids' wearables are still designed around screens, apps, games, and notifications that can become distracting rather than helpful.
That led me to ask a simple question:
What if a kids wearable focused only on what truly matters—health, safety, and connection? Halo Band is my answer.
Halo Band is a screen-free wearable designed to help parents stay connected to their children without introducing another distracting device into their lives. It combines activity tracking, real-time location awareness, and parent-child communication in a calm, minimal form factor that kids can comfortably wear all day.
The goal is not to give children another screen. The goal is to give them more freedom, while giving parents more peace of mind.
