Smart Lock Series 2

The SimpliSafe Smart Lock Series 2 builds on a familiar foundation while solving a critical internal challenge. The new generation required a significantly larger and taller antenna to improve connectivity and reliability—yet the external dimensions had to remain unchanged. The project focused on integrating this new hardware without compromising the simplicity and footprint of the original design.

The solution maintains a clean, rectangular form—refined and minimal, but purposeful. This geometry aligns with SimpliSafe’s evolving design language: reliable, simple, and quietly confident. Every adjustment was made from the inside out, carefully balancing spatial constraints with performance needs to ensure the product feels unchanged in hand, but stronger in function.

Series 2 reflects a subtle but important approach to design—where meaningful improvements are delivered without visual disruption, and where consistency becomes part of the user’s trust.
